Boy, what a lovely Christmas. Woke up early for a bit of Mass Effect 2 and opening the stocking fillers which were pleasant and served as a starter for the main batch which was yet to come. Had a glorious breakfast of gammon and eggs with grapefruit, after the washing up we went in for the presents. Blessed with 25th anniversary of Mario, (The Holy Grail) along with Rockband 3 which is treating us very well so far. Granny knitted me a Cavern Beatle John Lennon which is awesome along with a Kick-Ass graphic novel and Roger Ebert's Greatest Films books which are an incredible read.
Watched 2 films today, The Secret of Kells, an beautiful animated film about Irish folk-law which was absolute eye candy from start to finish, a stunning find. We then turned to the old James Stewart Christmas classic: A Shop Around the Corner, which is a seriously overlooked Christmas film which almost feels a bit cult when you watch it, next year though, pop it in if you want a charming comedy.
It was nice to end on an old movie as now the Christmas feels complete, dinner was gorgeous and the atmosphere was very hushed which was a nice change. Off to bed shortly with that warm feeling of satisfaction and cheer. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas, I know I did and i want to share a little bit of that happiness with you. Have a lovely evening.
