Scrub the Copy

Part of our wrap gifts have a space for some flowery language, I spent most of my downtime over the past few days filling the space with fun, story related jokes and easter eggs. Once I sent it off to the higher ups I got the "we like it, but..." email. They want me to scrub off the fun copy and instead just shoehorn in all the names of the heads of departments, all while keeping it 'funny'. As much as I like a challenge, it's a little bit crushing in the moment. Guess that's my tomorrow now.
