After cramming in another batch of important crew members into a minibus for tech recces, I suddenly found myself alone in the office for a couple of hours. Between the night shooting and some other shenanigans, it meant that my hours were the only ones that aligned with the morning shift. Thankfully, I ran everything smoothly, answering questions as they rolled in and putting stars in cars as required. I rewarded myself with a little run after work. Considering I did exactly the same route during a heatwave last week, I oddly found today's run excruciating. That's the classic demoralizing outing though, the one where your gains stop and you question if it was all worth it? Will I ever run a further distance? Is this the end? Will they turn me into glue? But nah, you just have to realize it was a 'bad run', plenty more chances to do it better.
