Wedding days always go so fast. One minute I'm cooking brunch at an Air B&B while pressing my trousers, the next I'm getting pats on the back from the father of the groom for cutting shapes on the dance floor. Somewhere in the middle there was a ceremony, wedding breakfast and cake cutting, but something about drinking champagne at midday has the capacity to distort time and space.
The turnout on the dance floor has always been my barometer for how well loved the family is and this wedding was full to the brim. I'm always humbled by being merely invited to weddings and this one was a corker.
