The centrepiece of the day was Eurovision. But before we were beholdant to it's glory we had a whole Saturday to enjoy. I was up nice and early to slow cook a shoulder of pork, ready for shredding for carnitas later on. We took one of our weekend guests around the Harbourside for a street food lunch and an outdoor pint. Once the evening rolled in Eurovision started, though the hype was real for the UK to host, overall this year was a little ho-hum. Boilerplate acts and a predictable winner meant there was little to be get jazzed about. At least the company was ace, Mark and Lucy popped in which is always a treat, their commentary always makes me chuckle whole heartedly and that's what a Eurovision party is all about.
