Just me in the office for the first few hours and I was put to work! Lots of things turning up at the studio, all from different departments and team members. All in the space of about 90 seconds the following happened:
The colleague who arranged a cherry picker to landed with us randomly got a phonecall about a hire car I had organized. Weird they got the phonecall, but whatever, I got the number of my hire car driver, as I was dialing it another unknown number calls me. Its the chap dropping off the job arm to the studio. He's going to be late he tells me. I hang up. I call the hire car guy. He's also going to be late. I hang up. My colleagues asked me to go down to the loading bay to check if the cherry picker has arrived yet. As I type my response, someone in the office says 'Theo, did you know there's a bird in the office?' I turn. There is indeed a blue tit happily chirping next to our stationary shelf.
It goes without saying the bird became priority one and I'm happy to say we got rid of it, just mad all that happened in such a short window of time.
Otherwise, Rebecca did a Christmas wreath workshop today so we're now the owners of a bountiful bit of foliage for our door. Slowly but surely the house is getting Christmassy.
