Lucy brought her family down this afternoon. This was great for a number of reasons. It's nice to see some familiar faces and spend a day doing something slightly different. They lent us a crate full of awesome kitchen utensils (I have already cut myself on a remarkably sharp peeler.) And I got to show off my new waistcoat.
I also got a chance to have a proper game of Scrabble! Thought I did pretty well after landing 'Diver' on a triple word bonus tile, Lucy wiped the smirk off my face after swapping into 'Divert' and one-upping my score. I failed to keep up after that and ended up losing after hoarding a multitude of impossible to shift tiles like 'B, X, V, and H.' Better luck next time I guess.
