Meat Free Monday is a classic on set sustainability measure. A blanket ban on all meat (except fish) across all meals. A full English veggie breakfast is available and all meal options are packed full of chickpeas and lentils. It's also a wildly unpopular scheme, nothing worse than going into work on Monday and being told you can't eat meat. That's why we've been doing Veggie Wednesday, to take the sting out a bit. That said it still rubs people the wrong way and the absolute worst part about it is having to listen to people belly-ache about it. It continues to blow my mind how people want to be sustainable, but want to do it on their terms. I've said it a few times now but people need to learn to sacrifice something - I know it gets trickier with age but some folk just need to do without some luxury.
