Being away from home all of last week made me want to ensure this weekend was extra special with Rebecca. It started a little hypocritically because we both slept in for a lot longer than either of us had expected, but we still managed to get a lot of things done together. Rebecca made blueberry pancakes which we topped with maple syrup my family brought over from Canada and we headed up to a nearby micro taproom for some drinks while we played some 2 player board games - our little date afternoon. Then there was video games and a film together, basically spent the day doing all of our favourite things... The only 'unpleasant' part was pressing send on a very large chunk of money towards paying off our mortgage. Ultimately a good move, but saying bon voyage to your wealth is always a little vexing.
