The Comforts of Home

It was pretty novel to drive up my old road and head into work. It was even more crazy to think that my crew, a team I've worked with for the better half of a year, were all stood in a location that has a lot of personal history to me. That feeling of 'what a small world' was almost enough to distract me from the bitter cold of the day after standing outdoors for basically 10 hours straight. My collection of chilblains is growing nicely along my toes, a sign that I should probably double sock tomorrow. I did get to press my feet up against the radiator when I got home and warm my bones in a hot shower. No matter how tough the day can be, the comforts of home always see you through.
