Piece by piece, everything starts falling into place. The work load is starting to ramp up and the responsibilities of being in production start to manifest more and more. I'm hiring cars again, wrangling costume vans and forward planning meals for meetings. I'm wearing these duties like a pair of old gloves, they fit better than I remember and there's something about them that just feels like home.
Once the day was over it was time to spend even more time with my team for a pub night together. I suggested a cheaper option than going to a board game night would be if I just bought a bunch of games with me... In hindsight I should have charged commission but we had a good time and that's all that matters. Once again I think we're locked in with a really strong team and I'm proud to be a cog in that machine. That was the main thing I missed in the world of script supervising, a team environment and a core group of people you could rely on and share your highs and lows with.
