I slept through Santa's footsteps but woke up in good time to help Dad prep the brussel sprouts and segment the grapefruit. Breakfast was traditional grapefruit chased with gammon and eggs. Present unwrapping swiftly followed. Under the tree was a copy of the new Metroid game, a rather cute wooden pot and a small emulator console that Louis hand picked. He did an expert job curating and pre-loading old games from our childhood onto it so a good portion of the day was spent down memory lane. He really does know me so well.
The Ukrainians joined us for Christmas Lunch once again. They've been with us many times over now, previously we were introducing them to all the usual elements of a dinner, but now we are free to chat and laugh more freely. The afternoon slipped through our fingers a bit, I helped Mum with her customary jigsaw and none of us could decide if we were full or could go for cheese and biscuits. A film entertained us in the evening, then channel surfing we landed in The Wrong Trousers for a crowd pleasing end to the night.
Nothing much more to say bar I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, the one you all deserved no doubt.
