Did another round of furniture re-arranging to accommodate the biggest ever* Family Day that we've hosted. Most of Mum's side of the family showed up for the buffet lunch and the opportunity for everyone to see each other again. I said yesterday about how I've seen some faces I haven't seen for yonks, well the same was true today. What struck me this year was how many people thanked Mum for arranging the day, it made me realise how people might not do things like big family meetups unless someone puts their neck out and offers to make it happen. I'm very proud of Mum for keeping the tradition alive and keeping the family closer as a result.
