Though I was still testing positive this morning, Rebecca and I made a genuinely Covid safe trip down to Bounemouth so I could self isolate in a brand new room! It was also Mum's Birthday today so it made sense to make the effort to go down and see her, come what may! And so, for Mum's Birthday I got to be the Boy in the Bubble - distanced during meals or behind a window in one instance. Obviously it was a little surreal and far from ideal, but it was really great to spend a bit of time with my family, even through a barrier.
I'm feeling miles better today too, fingers crossed I get the all clear as early as tomorrow so I can rejoin the fun and begin properly enjoying my holiday!
