A Real Roman Holiday

December 31st, 2020. Rebecca and I are 'celebrating' a very lonely lockdown new year's eve. To give us an evening activity before midnight I suggested an old movie: Roman Holiday. Moreso than I had anticipated, Rebecca loved it and announced that she'd love to take me to Rome one day. Well that day finally came as we boarded a plane and flew in our to the most powerful city in the world at one point in human history. The early start today meant that we were effectively a little jet lagged so we used the day to mooch around, scoping out what we wanted to see during our stay. One thing was a given though - we'd be eating well. Tonight we found a very affordable pasta place that served flagons of wine. I daresay we drank more than we intended but for the cost we did outrageously well. We're bound for the historical sights of the city tomorrow, resting up now in our Air B&B before we set out to conquer Rome together!
