Post Christmas Blues

The grand return to the office. Compared holiday stories with my co-workers over coffee for the first 30 minutes, then reality sunk in pretty quickly. Christmas is over. No more nice food, family time or seasonal music. We're out in the cold, miserable real world now and it's a far cry from the peace on Earth the homily promised. That epithany struck a cord with me but it was silently gripping the minds of my team too as we all remembered we had almost 10 months of hard work ahead of us. Not complaining of course, it'll be a mammoth job, but they all come one day at a time.
